HR and Rewards Manager

Are you an experienced HR professional with a background in Rewards and Comp&Ben? Are you looking for a role where you can work hands-on with amazing gaming creatives and lead the Rewards Center of Expertise? Well we’ve got just the right hybrid role for you, consisting of 3 main elements: Rewards CoE, HR partnering and managing various HR projects!

You will join a team of 11 amazing HR MadHeads (3 managers, 7 specialist and 1 director) supporting more than 160 awesome game dev creatives working on AAA games for PC and Consoles.

We are unconventional creators of action games for PC and consoles - extremely fun to work with and definitely not for the faint-hearted. For over a decade, we pioneered the local game dev scene, driven by the ambition to become the regional game dev leader.

On that quest, we pave our way with exciting games developed in Unreal EngineScars Above, our latest title, is a challenging and immersive 3rd-person Sci-Fi shooter set in a mysterious alien world to explore. We are also developing two new, unannounced games based on famous and beloved IPs, which franchises' fans will eagerly anticipate! While we can't reveal too much just yet, we can promise these titles will push the boundaries of regional game development and generate some serious hype.

What will you be doing as a Mad Head?

  • Leading the design, implementation, and management of the entire Compensation and Benefits framework. This includes conducting internal job evaluations, developing pay bands through external market research and benchmarking, and ensuring equitable and industry-standard compensation practices across the organisation.
  • Providing expert guidance and support on Compensation and Benefits matters to people managers, HR team and management team
  • Implementing various incentive programs, bonus schemes, benefits and other initiatives
  • Educate team members on compensation practices, including compensation, performance feedback, performance calibration, and career transitions
  • Managing people budget and its strategy
  • Serve as the dedicated HR Business Partner for a specific employee group, providing regular support and strategic guidance to address HR-related challenges and initiatives
  • Consult with and coach people managers on a range of HR topics, including employee relations, talent development, performance management, and organisational effectiveness
  • Partner closely with the HR team and senior leadership on various HR policies and practices that will support the strategic growth of the business.
  • Lead other various HR projects and initiatives

What do we expect from our ideal candidate?

  • 5+ years of experience in HR management roles
  • Previous experience/role and expert understanding of Compensation and Benefits practices and policies
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to analyse complex data sets related to compensation, benefits, and HR metrics 
  • Experience leading cross-functional HR projects from inception to implementation, including project planning, stakeholder management, and monitoring progress against objectives.
  • Change agility mindset and flexibility to work in ambiguity environment
  • Good understanding and use of English language
